- 16 ounce can garbanzo beans, strained
- ½ cup liquid from garbanzo beans
- 3 Tbs sesame tahini
- 1 ½ Tbs olive oil
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- ½ tsp finely minced garlic
- ¼ +⅛ tsp salt
- ¼ + ⅛ tsp citric acid (found in canning section of any grocery store)
- ¼ tsp ground white pepper (may substitute ⅛ tsp black pepper)
- ⅛ tsp cayenne pepper
- Combine all ingredients in a blender.
- Blend until smooth (add extra water as needed to aid in the blending).
