Southern Spoon Bread

img_3440This recipe is adapted from “Favorite Wildwood Recipes.”

Ingredients:

  1. 2 cups whole corn
  2. 2 cups water
  3. 1 tsp salt
  4. 1/8 cup oil
  5. 2 Tbs apple sauce
  6. 1 cup yellow cornmeal

Directions:

  1. Blend first two ingredients until creamy.
  2. Add rest of ingredients and mix well.
  3. Pour into flat oiled baking pans or dishes.
  4. Bake at 350F until firm and browned.
