Any Beans

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cup any kind of bean
  2. 4 cups water

Directions (Plan ahead method):

  1. Soak 1 cup of beans in 4 cups water overnight
  2. drain and rinse beans
  3. Pour beans into pot and cover with 1 inch of water
  4. bring to a boil and simmer until soft (approximately 1 hour)
  5. Season with salt and other seasonings to taste
  6. DO NOT add salt until beans are soft

Directions (Procrastinate a little method):

  1. Bring 1 cup any kind of beans in 4 cups water to a rolling boil, remove from heat, cover pot, and let stand 1 hour
  2. Drain and rinse beans
  3. Pour beans into pot and cover with 1 inch of water
  4. bring to a boil and simmer until soft (approximately 1 hour)
  5. Season with salt and other seasonings to taste
  6. DO NOT add salt until beans are soft

Directions (Procrastinate a lot method):

  1. Rinse 1 cup of beans
  2. Pour rinsed beans into pressure cooker and cover with 3-4 cups of water
  3. Cook on high for 30-45 minutes (depends on pressure cooker setting)
  4. You CAN add salt and seasonings prior to cooking in a pressure cooker
