- 1 cup quinoa
- 2 cups water
- ½ tsp salt
- Thoroughly wash quinoa (use small strainer or coarse towel to avoid losing grains). Failure to follow this step will result in bitter taste.
- Combine 1 cup washed quinoa, salt and 2 cups water in a medium saucepan (can use rice cooker).
- Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer until quinoa is tender (about 15 minutes).
- Quinoa holds a lot of water so drain thoroughly after it’s cooked unless you want a“sticky” version
